About

I am an interdisciplinary artist: a performer, writer, director, visual artist, and teacher. Born and raised below the Mason-Dixon Line, I travel extensively for my work.

In 2005 I earned my Bachelor of Arts in English & Spanish from The University of Texas at Austin and studied abroad at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in Córdoba, Argentina. Before returning to school for a graduate degree in 2006, I worked as an actor with Zachary Scott Theatre. In 2008 I earned a Master of Arts in Women’s & Gender Studies, also from The University of Texas at Austin.

In 2010 my one act play CROOKED PARTS was presented at Brooklyn Arts Exchange (BAX) and at the Utopia Theatre at the University of Texas at Austin. Also in 2010 I was awarded a playwriting residency at Freedom Train Productions in Brooklyn, NY. During this time, I also worked as an educator in East New York. After completing my residency at Freedom Train Productions, which culminated in a stageed reading of my new play MIRRORS, I moved to London to study theatre.

I am a recent graduate of the M.A. Advanced Theatre Practice program at Central School of Speech & Drama,  where I specialized in site specific, experimental and collaborative theatre. I currently serve as the Artistic Director and Lead Mentor of Roots and River Productions. I am living, learning and working in Brooklyn, NY. Check out my recent entries to find out what projects I’m working on right now.
